Enjoyed Our Visit
Ed Walker's isn't the kind of place I would eat everyday (not hthe halethiest of fares) but it was a fun stop on our visit to Fort Smith. It had an old time feel and big portions.

Hmmmmmmm.....
There was a time when I loved Ed Walker'sit seemed fun and different and the food was pretty good. The last couple of times I've been there it has seemed a little bit less fun and less good than I remembered it.

Great Old Fashioned Style
This place has great food at a great price, with an environment that you cannot find anymore. The prices are reasonable, and the menu is like that of the 50's to the 70's. Try the giant family sized cheeseburger!!

Expectations not met
After living in the area for 14 years we finally tried the landmark institution "Ed Walkers". Having never heard a bad review, I figured we couldn't go wrong here and settled in for the the famous beef dip sandwich. Unfortunately, I could not have been more wrong. The meat was fatty and not well choosen. The au jus was so salty and greasy I only "dipped" once. My son's hamburger looked good, my husband was not impressed with his dinner. Perhaps we were just there on a bad evening.

Oldie but goodie by GAIL G. at InsiderPages
The building is old and not very big. They have increased parking which is a great improvement. It has atmosphere on the walls. There serve the biggest burger in town (5lb I thing) never at that one before but have had the regular burgers which are good. Has an old time feeling. They serve lunch and dinner. Wait staff friendly.

Unusual Place
Time stood still here. No way you can finish that 6-pound burger by yourself.

A Great Landmark Restaurant
If you come to Ft. Smith you must put this restaurant on your itinerary. Be prepared to eat though - large portions are common here. Terrific diner food - everything from Mexican entrees to the largest hamburger you'll ever order. The food tastes great, but don't expect to stay on your diet. Great, fun place to eat!

The legend lives on at Ed Walker's
Ed Walker's Drive in is truly a Fort Smith legend. I ate there again recently, and not only do they have their classic burgers (bring a group with an appetite and get the 5 pounder), but they also have other delicious dishes such as chili rellenos, etc. Their chili cheese fries are a must order!
